    Farm History

 Built in 1856 the farm house is a Grade 11 listed building in a conservation area just steps away    from Hadrian’s wall.

For the last 150 years travellers and walkers have passed by the farm house and for the same number of years families have farmed their living here. 

Hillside Farm is a working farm, we are the fourth generation of farmers.

But now as well as farming we welcome travellers and visitors to stay at our farmhouse during their time in Cumbria.

And we are pleased to say that time has not stood still so we offer some of the creature comforts like warmth and hot water not always available 150 years ago!

We are located in a small village of Boustead Hill, near Burgh by Sands with in the Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with stunning views over looking Solway Firth marshes towards Scotland.  The Hadrian's Wall National Trail and Hadrian's Cycleway (72 pass past the farm)
